Facing a divorce and financial ruin, Steven Wellish, a failed burrito truck owner, steals his ex-wife, Dr. Rory's identity and practices psychiatry via Craigslist. With the help of his cousin Gordon, and a burgeoning illegal therapy business, he begins to let go of the ideal he had of his wife, live more in the present, and regain the confidence necessary to adapt to a life without her.

When Katherine tells her roommates, Tina and Meryl, she is unexpectedly moving out, they are forced to find a new roommate in a short amount of time. However, their lack of friends poses a problem only Craigslist can fix.

Each episode of “ETC: Employment Through Craigslist“ is based on an actual job posting from the “ETC“ section of job postings on Craigslist. Richie and Matt are roommates who are faced with the reality of crippling gambling debt. In order to pay off their bookie, Matt and Richie search the ETC section of Craigslist for jobs that can make them money quickly. The first season follows Matt and Richie as they perform the following jobs: sperm donors, focus group participants, hair stylist guinea pigs, limo dispatchers, and gay models. The season culminates when they finally meet their bookie and pay him their first installment.
